Senator Tsekov on the trial of Denis Berezovsky: all traitors are in power in Kiev today
Member of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Senator from Crimea Sergey Tsekov responded to the decision of the so-called Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, created in Ukraine, to condemn in absentia the Deputy Commander of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy Denis Berezovsky. In an interview with “Lenta.ru”, he said that the decisions made in Ukraine in relation to the Crimean politicians and the military are almost ignored in Russia, and added that all the main traitors today are in power in Kiev.
Earlier it became known that the so-called Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, created in Ukraine, filed an indictment against the Deputy Commander of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy, Vice Admiral Denis Berezovsky. He is charged with high treason, as well as the creation and leadership of a criminal organization.
The materials say that on March 1, 2014, Alexander Turchinov, who at that time was acting President of Ukraine, appointed Denis Berezovsky to the post of Commander of the country's Navy. However, immediately after his appointment, he “publicly spoke to the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and representatives of the media,” stating that he refused to comply with any decisions, orders and orders of Kiev. According to the prosecutor's office, by such actions and decisions, Berezovsky contributed to “subversive activities against Ukraine.”
Traitors in the power of Ukraine
Relations between Kiev and Moscow have been utterly spoiled, and new anti-Russian attacks on them no longer affect them, Tsekov noted. “We hear about these decisions. I cannot say that we analyze them in detail. Many Crimean politicians are under sanctions, criminal cases for high treason have been opened against tens and hundreds, although all the main traitors are now in power in Ukraine. It was they who brought Ukraine to a completely catastrophic state, and most of all there should be questions for them. And against whom they initiate criminal proceedings and convict in absentia is not essential. These cases are started against people who have done incredibly much to save Crimea from the Nazi permissiveness of Ukraine, “the Russian senator said.

Tsekov called Berezovsky's courageous act, who in 2014 refused to carry out the orders of Kiev. The Russian politician recalled that a soldier gave the first oath to the people of the Soviet Union. Then the Ukrainian authorities tried to change this by applying pressure. “Berezovsky is primarily responsible to the people of the region where he found himself. He did not betray the people of Crimea, he was together with the people of Crimea, therefore his act should only be encouraged and supported, he must be treated with great respect, “Tsekov summed up.
In March 2014, the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine started a criminal case against Berezovsky after his transition to the side of the pro-Russian forces of the Crimea. The case was initiated under Article 111 of the Criminal Code (“high treason”). He was removed from office by order of Turchinov.
In March 2016, the then Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatoly Matios announced that Denis Berezovsky was wanted.
