Ministry of Agriculture: exports of agricultural products of Russia amounted to a record $ 31.2 billion

On November 28, it amounted to $ 31.2 billion, which exceeds the indicators for the entire last year (30.5 billion) and is 21 percent more than on the same date in 2020. This was announced by the Agroexport Center under the Ministry of Agriculture, Interfax reports.

The oil and fat industry showed the maximum growth rates, since the beginning of the year supplies increased by 49 percent. The bulk of exports are cereals, increasing by 10 percent to $ 9.415 billion.

The supply of fish and seafood from Russia increased by 29 percent, meat and dairy products – by 30 percent, the food and processing industry – by 11 percent, and others – also by 11 percent.

The largest importer is still The European Union, supplies there increased by 44 percent to $ 4.171 billion, and the share in total Russian exports amounted to 13.4 percent.

Turkey is in second place, it bought products of the Russian agro-industrial complex by 3.755 billion, increasing volumes by 36 percent. China, South Korea and Kazakhstan are also in the top five. According to the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture, in 2021 the export of agricultural products will amount to 34-35 billion dollars. 47.1 billion is expected by 2030.

Earlier it became known that food exports from Russia to China may decrease by 10 percent by the end of 2021, to $ 3.6 billion due to restrictions on the import of fish and seafood. From January to October, supplies of agricultural products from Russia to China decreased by 16.5 percent, to 3.08 million tons, in monetary terms – by 8.3 percent, to 2.9 billion dollars.
