Military historian Yulin: Ukraine is preparing for the military seizure of Donbass military historian Boris Yulin. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, he noted that in this way, with the help of a military conflict, the country's authorities are trying to divert public attention from internal political problems, which is also beneficial for Russia.
The Russian Foreign Ministry reported that the troops Of Ukraine are pulling their forces into the conflict zone in Donbass. There are already 125 thousand people there – half of the entire composition. Yulin recalled that the country has been keeping a large number of military personnel in this area for many years, it has a large numerical superiority there, therefore, no pronounced change has occurred in this regard. Nevertheless, he noted that there is reason to expect the beginning of the conflict in the near future.
“They are simply preparing to return Donbass by force. And there is a possibility that this may happen in the near future. Now in Ukraine there are serious internal political problems that they might want to solve, writing off everything to a military conflict. Hence the additional noise from our side – both states are heading towards conflict in order to write off internal problems, “the military expert explained.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow does not harbor any aggressive plans.
