The intelligence services of Egypt eliminated 40 terrorists were preparing attacks on Christmas
Moscow. 29 Dec. INTERFAX.RU — Egyptian security forces during raids in the night of Saturday killed 40 terrorists who planned a series of attacks during the Christmas holidays. It is reported by the Egyptian newspaper “al-Ahram” referring to the statement of the interior Ministry.
“In the national security service received information about preparing and planning a series of terrorist attacks against authorities, especially in the economic sphere, against the tourist industry, the armed forces, the police and Christian houses of worship,” reads the statement.
30 terrorists were eliminated in the province of al-Giza, and 10 in the province of North Sinai.
During the RAID seized a large number of firearms, ammunition and improvised explosive devices.
On the eve near Cairo in Giza governorate as a result of the explosion of a bomb installed on the roadside, has been undermined by tourist bus. Four people were killed — three Vietnamese tourists and an Egyptian tour guide. Another 11 people were injured.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
