Nikitin assumed the position of Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region

The inauguration ceremony Gleb Nikitin, Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region held in the regional center, the correspondent of Agency “Interfax-the Volga region”.
The head of the Nizhny Novgorod regional election Committee Oksana Kislitsyna awarded G. Nikitin the identity of the elected Governor, whereupon he took the oath.
Nikitin took office almost exactly a year since the appointment of the acting Governor of Nizhny Novgorod.
26 September 2017 the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on early termination of powers of the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region Valery Shantsev and appointed acting head of the region G. Nikitin.
