The Communists in the Duma would not vote for Medvedev’s candidacy as Prime Minister

Moscow. May 7. INTERFAX.RU — the Communist Faction in the state Duma will not support the candidacy of Dmitry Medvedev for the post of head of the Russian government, said first Deputy head of the faction Mykola kolomeytsev.

Putin officially submitted to the state Duma the candidacy of Medvedev for the post of head of the office on Monday, almost immediately after the inauguration of the President of the Russian Federation.

The state Duma meeting on this issue scheduled for Tuesday at 15:00. On it vote on the issue on giving consent to the President on the approval of the Chairman of the government Dmitry Medvedev will be held in the open mode.

After the inauguration of President Dmitry Medvedev, according to the Constitution, signed a decree on resignation of the government. Putin, in turn, signed a decree on the resignation of the government Medvedev.

The state Duma on may 8 will hold an open vote on the candidacy of Medvedev for the Premiership.
