The President of Russia Vladimir Putin noted the increase of interaction between Belarus and the Far East. About it reports TASS on Friday, June 30.
As an example the President cited the modern agro-town in the Sakhalin region, the creation of which was attended by representatives of the two countries. “We hope that these mutually beneficial projects will only grow, including through opportunities for business and in new regions of the Russian Federation”, — he said at the plenary session of IV forum of Russia and Belarus.
The Russian leader also noted that the vast majority of regions are working closely with partners from Belarus.
Earlier Friday it was reported that Putin and his Belarusian counterpart will hold a June 30 meeting of the Supreme state Council (SSC) of the Union state. The agenda provided by the summing-up of trade-economic cooperation of two countries in 2016, the discussion of the prospects for cooperation in machine-building and agroindustrial complexes.
