MOSCOW, June 27. /TASS/. New hacker attack on the system of the company in Russia has compromised the computer systems of the presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and the official website of the Kremlin. This was reported by TASS press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.
“(All) is stable”, – he said.
Previously to the attack of a new virus-ransomware Petya was subjected to a number of companies such as “Rosneft”, “Bashneft”, Mars, Nivea and Mondelez International (maker of chocolate Alpen Gold). This is stated in the message of the company Group-IB, which deals with the prevention and investigation of cybercrime.
Petya virus locks computers and demands a ransom of $300 in bitcoins. Experts Group-IB also found that recently, this virus was used by the Cobalt group with the purpose to hide traces of targeted attacks on financial institutions.
