Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin in Belgrade made a joke about the relations of Serbia with the West. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
The official mentioned outdoor five years ago in NIS, the Russian-Serbian humanitarian centre, noting that for some reason this scares Western countries. “Therefore, I say, s-300 Serbs is not necessary. Enough wood to build the s-300, they [the West] will all die from fear,” he said.
The center, created to respond to emergency situations, are placed closer to the southern European region for the sake of convenience transfer of forces and means if necessary, said Rogozin. Speaking about prospects of work of the organization, he noticed that the centre should bring to mind.
Rogozin arrived in Belgrade on June 22, TASS. Deputy Prime Minister headed the Russian delegation at the inauguration ceremony of President Alexander Vucic. At a meeting with him on 23 June, the Deputy head of the government discussed, in particular, economic and military-technical cooperation.
In April Vucic stated the need for procurement of anti-aircraft missile systems s-300 and the regimental command post. According to him, this issue was discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko.
