According to the French leader, “in September of this year, the text of the draft will be presented to the UN.” “This document should be an international Treaty even if ratification will be slow and difficult,” — says the macron.
In turn, the Minister of state, Minister of environmental transition Nicolas Hulot announced that “the future Covenant will provide the legal framework for addressing the global challenges of environmental protection”.
According to the newspaper Le Monde, the document will be based on the principle of financial responsibility of the parties to the Treaty for harm to the environment. If the party violates the rules of the agreement, she could face prosecution.
