The head of the Duma Committee on physical culture, sport, tourism and youth Affairs Mikhail Degtyarev (LDPR) has invited his colleagues in Parliament to follow his example and become the “star leaders” in “Artek”, reports TASS on Friday, June 16.
“From the leadership camp I’m offering to be the “star leaders” deputies of the state Duma, to share their experiences with children”, — said Degtyarev. According to him, earlier in that role visited the leader of the liberal Democrats Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
“Are there waiting and deputies [Vyacheslav] Fetisov and [Valery] Gazzaev, and Irina Batalov, and others”, — said the MP.
On 9 June the Deputy of the state Duma Vitaly Milonov (“United Russia”) sent a letter to the speaker of the lower chamber Vyacheslav Volodin with a request to send a team of parliamentarians to the East of Donbass to objectively monitor the conflict zone. International observers, in his opinion, can not cope with their tasks. He also suggested that the presence of the working group will help to promote the peace process and “will serve as a deterrent against the violation of the Minsk agreements”.
Camp “Artek” was opened on the southern coast of the Crimea in Gurzuf, on 16 June 1925. In the spring of 2014 the authorities of the Republic nationalized daycare center. In the summer of that year started a program for its development, for this purpose was spent 895 million rubles.
