Investigators have opened two new cases against the head of Cheboksary
NIZHNY NOVGOROD, June 16 — RIA Novosti. Investigators have opened two new criminal cases concerning suspected abuse of powers of the head of Cheboksary Irina Klementieva, said on Friday the SUCK of the Chuvash Republic.
Russia’s investigative Committee on may 18 reported about initiation of two criminal cases against the head of Cheboksary Irina Klementieva. She is suspected of committing crimes under article about abuse of office. Regional branch of “United Russia” has suspended its membership in party “to establish the results of criminal proceedings”.

The Moscow district court of Cheboksary on Friday elected the measure of restraint in form of house arrest. Klementievo allowed to leave the premises at the place of assigned residence without the permission of the preliminary investigation body, with the exception of the daily walks near the house in the period from 13 to 14 hours and also to communicate with all participants in criminal proceedings, with the exception of its defenders.
“Currently, the materials provided by the FSB Department for the Chuvash Republic, it filed two new criminal cases on signs of crimes under part 4 of article 160 of the criminal code (misappropriation or embezzlement) and part 1 of article 285 of the criminal code (abuse of power). She formally charged with committing these crimes,” — said in the message.
According to investigators, Klementyev knew that the right of ownership led to her OJSC “Insurance company “Chuvash-Med” on the building of the hydropathic establishment, erected without permits on land along the street Volkova in Cheboksary, and in fact purchased the property this insurance company that is not registered in the manner prescribed by law. Then, according to the investigation, she signed on behalf of the organization led by a figurehead who acted in the interests of her spouse, a contract for the sale of this “new” land by giving to the Registrar false information about the absence of any structures and buildings.
