MOSCOW, June 14. /TASS/. U.S. expands its military presence in Syria. This was reported by Reuters with reference to the official representative of one of the brigades of the armed Syrian opposition “free Syrian army” (FSA) — Abu al-Atira, which is deployed in the border with Jordan, the district of al-TANF.
In Et Tape is a military base of international coalition led by the USA, which provides support to units of the armed opposition in the fight against militants of the terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia).
According to al-Atira, the United States has deployed forces from its original location At Tape to create a second database in ez-Sacve, located about 60-70 km to the North-East.
“The(new) database was studied for months, but now it’s official base. She was built and expanded and, if God wills, in a few days it will be the same as the base in Et Tape,” — said the Agency representative of the opposition. He added that U.S. special forces troops patrolling the area up to 100 km from the Et-Tapa. Al-Athir also reported that a contingent of US special forces based in Et-Tape and ez – Sacve increased, the opposition delivered new weapons.
While Reuters notes that the official representative of the headquarters of the counterterrorist operation Ryan Dillon denies the creation of a new base in Syria. “We have a garrison in Et Tape, which is a temporary base for us to train our allied forces to fight against ISIS, but it is the only base in the South of Syria or a place where there are our coalition forces”, — quotes Agency the words of Dillon.
