WASHINGTON, 15 Nov — RIA Novosti. Russia will reduce defense spending over the next three years to 2.7−2.8% of GDP, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“There is an understanding that the primary in the state is well-functioning economy. Therefore, the army needs to be compact, but modern and efficient. But we spend quite a lot. These costs are made up in the past year, more than three percent,” Putin said in an interview with the Director Oliver stone in the film shown on television channel Showtime.
