In the shooting was wounded in the thigh, a member of Congress, Republican Steve Scales. Also wounded a congressional aide. According to the newspaper the Washington Post, the assailant also wounded a police officer. About it the newspaper said an eyewitness.
Earlier, the President of the United States Donald trump in his Twitter commented on what happened in the Virginia shooting. “Republican Steve Scales from Louisiana, a loyal friend and patriot, was seriously injured, but will recover fully. Our thoughts and prayers are with him,” wrote the President of the United States.
