TOMSK, 13 Jun — RIA Novosti. The police opened a criminal case against the driver of the Shuttle bus Tomsk-a city that flipped over on the highway Monday, reported Tuesday on the website of Ministry of internal Affairs of the Tomsk region.
Earlier it was reported that the bus overturned on 261-m kilometer of the highway Tomsk-Kolpashevo (near the village of Sogot). According to preliminary information, the driver lost control of the car. Just in the bus there were 27 people. After an accident 17 passengers were taken to hospital. Killed a five month old baby.
“Against the driver who drove the bus, the investigative Department of OMVD of Russia on Kolpashevskogo area brought criminal case”, — stated in the message.
The case was initiated under article “Infringement by the person managing automobile, tram or other vehicle, traffic regulations or operation of vehicles, entailed on imprudence death of the person”. The sanction of article provides for a maximum imprisonment of up to five years.
It is clarified that the driver was interrogated, he is under house arrest.
