The Prosecutor’s office warned against the the opposition rally on Tverskaya street in Moscow
The Moscow Prosecutor’s office has warned organizers and participants on attempts to hold unauthorized rally on Tverskaya street on June 12. As reported on the website of the General of the Supervisory Department, the procession in the capital was not agreed with the city authorities.
“The representative of the “Party of progress” Alexei Navalny and a number of public figures spread calls for participation in public events in the form of a March and rally on Tverskaya street 12 Jun 2017. The government of Moscow the action on Tverskaya street not agreed”, — said in a statement. — “We warn that any attempt to hold an inconsistent event — a direct violation of the law. The Prosecutor’s office said that the opposition agreed to the proposed alternative option of the action on the Sakharov Avenue.
Capital, the Supervisory authority has issued to Alexei Navalny warning to prevent possible violations of law during public events.
June 12 from 12:00 to 22:00 in the area from Pushkin square to Manezh and the Okhotny Ryad street will be a holiday “Day of Russian history”. In this regard, from 18:00 on 11 June to 06:00 June 13, traffic on Tverskaya street from Pushkin square to the Manege square is completely blocked.
