According to rescuers, the accident happened with the bus, which was carrying pilgrims from the village of Urluk after the procession. The vehicle overturned after the driver drove into a ditch, lost control.
The interior Ministry of Russia sent from Moscow a group of traffic police officers to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
It is reported that the incident occurred at about 20:30 GMT in Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky district, seven kilometers West of the village of Hohoto, 702-m kilometer of the highway “Baikal”.
