The President of Ukraine launched the “timer bezveze”
Poroshenko expressed hope that after the abolition of visas Ukraine will be in EU and NATO.
Moscow. June 10. INTERFAX.RU Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko launched a symbolic “timer bezveze”, which will count down the last 12 hours to the entry into force of the visa-free regime with the EU.
“In 12 hours last sound countdown will mark the vindication of our hopes. It will mark the fall let not the concrete of the Berlin wall, the paper curtain, which for years separated the Ukrainians from the European family. And today at 12 o’clock in the morning when the historic date of June 11, the paper curtain falls”, the President said on Saturday during a symbolic start “of the timer bezveze” near the presidential administration.
According to him, this is not the end of the path, and a powerful continuation of reforms in the country.

In turn, the head of the EU delegation in Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli added that a visa-free regime will promote the development of relations between the EU and such a big European country as Ukraine, and also to strengthen contacts between Ukrainians and citizens of EU countries.
After the speeches, Poroshenko and Mingareli pressed a symbolic “timer bezveze”, which will count down the last 12 hours of the visa regime with the EU.
Visa-free regime of Ukraine with EU will come into force at midnight on 11 June 2017. All citizens of Ukraine with biometric passport can visit 30 countries in Europe without a visa and stay there up to 90 days within 180 days, namely, all the countries — EU members except the UK and Ireland as well as Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland and Norway.
