Designers created the “ice cream” from contaminated water
This “fruit ice” sometimes looks very appetizing, but don’t try to lick it or bite: the consequences can be very unpleasant.
Three student designer in Taiwan had made the “eskimo” from local water bodies contaminated by sewage. Through the project the authors want to draw attention to environmental protection, namely water pollution due to rapid economic growth and rapid urbanization, reports Bored Panda.
Hun Ican, Guo Yihua and Chen, Yuti with a transparent polyester resin made “ice cream” from samples taken from 100 different sources of water. The students even developed a wrapper to each type of ice cream.
It is noted that 90% of waste in water bodies is plastic. “Fruit ice” also includes bottle caps, scraps of packages and other debris.
