The majority of Russian students think a symbol of true patriotism of veterans of the great Patriotic war. This opinion is shared by 79 percent of survey participants, conducted by the Centre for sociology students, reported on Saturday, June 10, RIA Novosti.
Example of a true patriot for the majority of the respondents were the President of Russia Vladimir Putin (34%) and civil activists and volunteers (27%).
43 percent of respondents believe that the patriots among the Russian youth in the minority, and 35 percent believe that such people half. While 67 percent of study participants identified themselves as patriots, while 14 percent expressed the opposite point of view. 19% had difficulty with a clear answer.
The majority of respondents also stated that the value of patriotism is the desire to change the situation in the country for her of a decent future (64 per cent).
The survey was conducted in June in 50 regions. It took part 3.6 thousand people, all respondents are students of universities or institutions of secondary vocational education.
