Russians receiving money from foreign countries can be equated to the registered as a foreign agent
To examine this issue recommended to the Ministry of justice of the Russian Federation, Federal financial monitoring service, the FSB and the Prosecutor General’s office.
MOSCOW, 7 June. /TASS/. Citizens of Russia, who receive money or other property from foreign States, can be equated to foreign agents.
This is stated in the draft recommendations to the parliamentary hearings in the Federation Council on the theme “Prevention of interference in the internal Affairs of the Russian Federation: legislation and practice”. Hearings in the upper house held on Wednesday.
Relevant rules may be supplemented by legislation. To examine this issue recommended to the Ministry of justice of the Russian Federation, Federal financial monitoring service, the FSB and the Prosecutor General’s office.
“To study the possibility of amending the legislation of the Russian Federation in supplementing the list of foreign sources, funding of which is a condition for the recognition of a non-commercial organization performing functions of a foreign agent, citizens of the Russian Federation, receiving cash and other property from foreign States, their state bodies, international and foreign organisations, foreign citizens, persons without citizenship or their authorized persons”, — stated in the draft recommendations.
