Putin signed a law on criminal responsibility for the creation of “groups of death”
Incitement to suicide will be punished with imprisonment up to six years.
Moscow. June 7. INTERFAX.RU — Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that introduces criminal liability for encouraging children to suicide.

The law was published on the official Internet portal of legal information. It is, in particular, about the criminal liability for the creation of the Internet, the so-called “groups of death”.
The law introduces amendments to criminal and Criminal-procedural codes of the Russian Federation. They, in particular, translate incitement to suicide in the category of serious crimes that is punishable by imprisonment for up to six years.
Also, the criminal code introduced a new article, such as “inducement to commit suicide or assisting suicide”, “organization of activities aimed at incitement to commit suicide”.
