Welt: two members of the rock festival Rock am Ring was arrested on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack
According to the newspaper, one of the detained is suspected of having links with the Islamists.
MOSCOW, June 3. /TASS/. Law enforcement authorities in Germany detained two employees of the company that supports the famous rock festival Rock am Ring (“rock on the ring”), which passes near the settlement Adenau (Rhineland-Palatinate). Employees allegedly brought to the festival a suspicious object, reported the German newspaper Welt.
According to her, at least one of the detained is suspected of having links with the Islamists. According to the newspaper Bild, were both questioned by law enforcement officers.
Previously one of the world’s most famous rock festivals were suspended due to terrorist threats. The police of Germany gave the order that the audience left the venue of the festival. Now on site investigation.
At the three-day festival tickets purchased more than 87 thousand people. Four scenes had to perform a total of 85 bands, including such famous bands as die Toten Hosen, Rammstein, System Of A Down.
