Germany has pledged to strengthen cooperation with Russia on climate protection
Foreign Minister of Germany, Sigmar Gabriel, said that the Ministry of environment of Germany agreed to strengthen cooperation with Russia on issues of climate change. It is reported by Handelsblatt.
As the newspaper notes, during the conversation, the politicians also discussed the US withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement.
Earlier in his speech at the St. Petersburg international economic forum Vladimir Putin has urged “not to make noise” about the US withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement and “not to judge” US President Donald trump.
