Almost a third of state programs in Russia have proven ineffective. This was during the St. Petersburg international economic forum (SPIEF) on Thursday, June 1, said Chairman of the accounts chamber Tatyana Golikova, reports TASS.
“The government itself in its documents suggests that the institution of government programs did not take place. One-third of government programs are now being implemented, the government itself recognized as ineffective,” she said, noting that most of them are cumbersome and do not solve the problems facing the country task.
In this regard, the official has declared the need for “more transparent and understandable mechanisms for prioritization and budgeting agencies.”
Earlier on 1 June, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, also speaking at SPIEF, expressed confidence that state programs today are useless, and turned into a “carve-up of funds”. “They did not fly, as they say, not earned, they were some stillborn”, — quotes its words video News Service.
According to information on the website of the government, today Russia approved the state program 44. 42 of them are implemented, two more are under development. They are all divided into five blocks: “a New quality of life”, “Innovative development and modernization of economy”, “Ensuring national security”, “Balanced regional development” and “Effective government.”
