In Turkey, the room has a law 5651 “On the regulation of Internet broadcasting and the struggle with crimes committed in this sphere”. Previously, the law was repeatedly criticized by the opposition, as it, in its opinion, not only violates freedom of expression, but severely restricts citizens ‘ right to access to information.

According to the Agency, which refers to the Ministry of transport and communications of Turkey, “the leadership of Wikipedia is made aware of the necessity of failure from posting false information about some of Ankara’s ties with terrorist organizations,” but despite repeated warnings, the YouTube refused to remove the content.

In this regard, a decision was made about blocking access to online encyclopedias, according to the Ministry. The Ministry stressed that in case of fulfilling the requirements of access to the resource can be restored.
