The Ministry of education and science of Russia has published the list of the 22 universities that were winners of a second wave of competition core universities, reports TASS.
According to the press service of the Ministry, educational institutions were divided into two groups. The first group included eight universities to be funded at the Federal level, the second 14 universities whose programs support the development of the regions.
“Before each selected University are ambitious goals to become a real mainstay of the region, providing it with the necessary human resources and developing its educational and scientific potential”, — said the head of the Ministry of education and science Olga Vasilyeva.
The group with the Federal financing entered Vladimir state University named after A. G. and N. G. Stoletovs, Arctic Murmansk state University, Nizhny Novgorod state technical University n. a. R. E. Alekseev, Novosibirsk state technical University, Siberian state medical University of Minzdrav of Russia, Tula and the Cherepovets state University, Yaroslavl state University named after P. G. Demidov.
Among those whose programs support the regions, appeared Altai state University, Belgorod state technological University named after V. G. Shukhov, Kalmyk state University named BB gorodovikov, Kemerovo state University, Magnitogorsk state technical University named after G. I. Nosov Mari state University, Novgorod state University named after Yaroslav the Wise, Petrozavodsk and Pskov state University, Saratov state technical University named after Yuri Gagarin, the state University of Sochi, Syktyvkar state University imeni pitirima Sorokina, Togliatti and Ulyanovsk state universities.
On the establishment of the reference universities in the regions of the former Minister of education and science Dmitry Livanov said in the summer of 2015. The selection of schools began in October of the same year and was conducted in several stages.
