ROC supported the idea of a special menu for the believers students
The head of the Synodal Department for external Church relations of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Hilarion stated that the Orthodox Church supports the idea of introducing a special menu for the believers of the Russian schoolchildren of different religions, reports “Interfax”.
The question of the introduction of the menu submitted for consideration to the Moscow city Duma. According to Metropolitan, the post does not harm the health of students.
“That now may be possible for those students who want to eat in accordance with the requirements of their religious tradition, I do not see anything wrong — said Metropolitan Hilarion in the program “Church and world” on TV channel “Russia 24”.

Students from believing families, according to the hierarchy, can themselves or with the help of parents to decide to fast or not in the case of input in the schools, religious menu.
