Mikhail Khodorkovsky resigned as head of the “Open Russia”

Moscow. April 15. INTERFAX.RU — the Former head of Yukos, Mikhail Khodorkovsky resigned as Chairman of the organization “Open Russia”.

“I promised to leave his post in motion and do it. My next tasks associated with the development of communication channels with the Russian and international community,” he said, speaking opening remarks at the conference, which takes place in Tallinn on 15-16 April.

Khodorkovsky also appealed to the participants of the conference to support candidacy of Alexei Navalny on elections of the President of Russia in 2018 and Dmitry Gudkov in the upcoming elections of the mayor of Moscow.

In a press-service of Open Russia, “Interfax” reported that the election of a new President and Council of the movement will be held during the conference on Saturday. Also on 15 April, the conference of the organization vote for or against supporting candidates Navalny and Gudkov.
