After the interrogation, the former Governor of Chelyabinsk were found in London

Former Governor of Chelyabinsk region, former state Duma Deputy Mikhail Yurevich, the suspect in obtaining multimillion-dollar bribe could not come to Ekaterinburg to testify on medical grounds. This is a National news service (NSN) said his lawyer Igor Trunov on Monday, April 10.

“We have provided notarized and certified medical records, which suggests that at least a month will pass additional examinations in London, after which it will become clear whether they will continue Yurevich treatment in Israel or return to Russia to testify,” said Trunov.

The criminal case against Yurevich was filed on March 16 of this year. According to investigators, in 2012, the head of the region received as compensation of 26 million rubles from Vitaly Teslenko (now serving a sentence on charges of taking bribes — approx. “Of the tape.ru”), who was appointed to the post of Minister of health of Chelyabinsk region.

On the same day the press Secretary of Yulia Yurevich Bobylev reported that he is in Israel. The ex-Governor does not admit his guilt.

Mikhail Yurevich led the Chelyabinsk oblast in 2010-2014 and resigned with the formulation “at own will”. After the dismissal Yurevich again ran for the state Duma, however, on 19 July 2016, the Central election Commission has excluded it from the Federal list of the Russian party of pensioners for justice (RPPS), because he did not provide a complete set of documents.
