The head of the medical Department of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Richard Badgett in 2016, blocked further study of the samples Jamaican runners with the Olympic games in 2008, despite the results of their verification. It is reported by German television channel ARD, reports “R-Sport”.
As noted, the British had instructed the laboratory in Lausanne to conduct research on those samples, but it forbade its employees to confirm positive results without prior consultation. “After receiving positive results on the samples of Budget not allowed to carry out further activities to confirm these data”, — stated in the message channel.
Earlier on Saturday, the ARD reported on the refusal of the IOC and world anti-doping Agency (WADA) to study the positive doping samples of Jamaicans.
New film ARD on doping was shown on April 2. The film is dedicated to the positive samples Jamaican sprinters from the Games in Beijing. In their blood was found banned substance clenbuterol.
