Now dispatching services will be required to transfer data on rates of travel, the location of taxis, as well as to involve only legal taxi drivers.

MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. The Moscow government resolution, regulating the work of the taxi operators on Saturday in effect.

As reported by TASS Deputy mayor of Moscow Maxim Liksutov, now dispatching services will be required to transfer data on rates of travel, the location of taxis, as well as to involve only legal taxi drivers.

“From April 1, 2017, enters into force the Moscow government resolution, regulating the work of dispatching services of a city taxi. Now they are required not only in the framework of the agreement, but in accordance with the decision to transmit into a single regional navigation and information system of the city, the location data of taxi, receiving orders for the transportation of passengers and baggage, with the obligatory indication of status (free or busy), authorization number, and number of state registration sign,” — said the Deputy mayor.

He noted that “these measures are aimed at improving the safety of taxi services, immediate response operational services in emergency situation”

In addition, based on the analysis of the received data the Department of transport will be able to plan the organization of additional specialized taxi stands, integrated traffic organization, including the organization of dedicated lanes.

Previously, the Department of transport has entered into cooperation agreements with taxi companies, “city Mobil”, “Taxi Luck”, as well as aggregators — “Yandex. Taxi”, Gettaxi and Uber. Under the agreement, the company must establish a transfer to the Department information about the rates and the number of cars left on the line, to employ only legal taxi drivers. Moscow is now officially over 78 thousand permission to taxi operations.

In the capital’s Department of transport said TASS that about 600 thousand passengers daily use Moscow taxis (more than 212 million a year). Since 2011, the city government has issued more than 78 thousand permission to taxi operations. During the three years of taxi service in the capital fell by 30%. In 2016, the average bill for a taxi ride in Moscow was about 500 rubles, in 2015 — 650 rubles, in 2014 — 700 rubles.
