FORTS will be the adviser of RAS
Moscow. March 28. INTERFAX.RU — Ex-President Vladimir Fortov will be transferred to the post of adviser to the Russian Academy of Sciences and remains a Director of the joint Institute for high temperatures, said acting President of Sciences Valery Kozlov.
According to him, the FORTS took part in the meeting of the Presidium of the RAS on Tuesday, although it de facto already is not a member of the Bureau, and asked to take him to the post of adviser to the Russian Academy of Sciences.
“Today we welcomed Vladimir Evgenyevich, as a former President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, whose share fell very difficult time at the Academy of Sciences. And then I say, the Bureau, standing, greeted Vladimir Evgenyevich and thus expressed gratitude for the support of academic science, which he it has invested,” — said acting President of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
However, he recalled that the FORTS remained as the Director of the joint Institute for high temperatures, although his term of office expires on 31 December.
“He is first and foremost a creative person, an outstanding scientist in the field of high-energy, and he has things to do. We talked about this and he has plans,” — said Kozlov.
