Elon Musk plans to connect the human brain with a computer
The head of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk is developing a technology that will allow you to connect the brain with computers — so-called neural lace. According to The Wall Street Journal.
To work on the concept of neural lace was established by the company Neuralink. According to Mr. Mask, the system can transmit messages from brain to computer directly, and is aimed at strengthening the capacity of the human brain by creating an additional layer of digital intelligence. Thus, people will not lag behind in development on the background of artificial intelligence and will be able to keep up with its improvement.
For the first time about the new technology Elon Musk told the conference Recode”s Code last year. Then he said that such computer-brain system will be a “symbiosis with machines.”
At the world economic forum in Davos, the heads of technology companies discussed the problem of criticism of the society in connection with the distribution of artificial intelligence and its impact on the labour market. Most of them believed that development of artificial intelligence not only reduces jobs but creates a new, nevertheless they recognize that the state and society should react to arising issues.
