Moscow. March 26. INTERFAX.RU — IN an unsanctioned opposition rally in Central Moscow involved about 7-8 thousand people, reported “Interfax” the press service of the MIA.
“In place of the inconsistent public events on Tverskaya street of Moscow city and the surrounding areas are of the order of 7-8 thousand people,” — said the press officer.

“About 14.30 at the intersection of Tverskaya street and the Mamonovsky lane, the Metropolitan police detained one of the organizers of inconsistent public events. Currently, he was taken for drawing up the Protocol on administrative offense,” — said the press service of the MIA.
Earlier in the headquarters of opposition leader Alexei Navalny said that he was detained in the area of triumph square in Central Moscow shortly after he joined the campaign. Also in headquarters has reported the arrest of participants in the area of Pushkinskaya square, but the official comments of the Ministry of interior on this issue has not yet been reported.
On the eve of the Metropolitan police urged Muscovites not to participate in uncoordinated action, as their “personal safety could be under threat.” The city Prosecutor’s office also warned the organisers of the intention to prevent unauthorized action in case of its carrying out in Moscow.
Navalny, despite the warnings of law enforcement and opposition of the city authorities, declared the intention to participate in uncoordinated action.
