A possible cause of the fire at the Kazan state gunpowder plant was a violation of safety rules during the works. About it “RIA Novosti” has informed a source in the emergency services of the Republic.
The message about the fire in the center of the powder of the plant was received at the remote duty at 20:23 GMT. In the regional Department of emergency situations reported that as a result of incident one person died, transferred “Interfax”. The Agency TASS in the Ministry said that at 21:49 MSK “open burning in the shop of finished products on the territory of the Kazan state gunpowder plant was eliminated.” The fire was localized in the area of 400 sq. m.
The Tatarstan Prosecutor’s office began checking on the fact of a fire at a gunpowder factory. As reported in the press service of the Ministry, she was appointed by order of the Prosecutor of the Republic Ildus nafikova.
During the inspection the Prosecutor’s office will assess the actions of officials of the enterprise for compliance with security requirements at work and fire legislation.
