Bonadio, filed a case against fernández de Kirchner in may of last year. The basis for the beginning of the investigation was the statement by two opposition MPs who accused the leadership of the Central Bank in intentional sale of currency futures at below market price. According to investigators, the damage from operations could amount to several billion pesos. The former President insists that the losses from the transactions were the result of decisions of the new government of Argentina, which led to the devaluation of the national currency.
To date against Fernandez de Kirchner initiated two cases. She was also accused of conspiring to embezzle budget funds. In addition, the ex-head of state suspected of illegal enrichment and corruption. The former President considers himself a victim of political persecution.
