Dead author of detective stories about inspector Morse
British writer Colin Dexter died at the age of 86 years, reports “bi-Bi-si”.
He was known as author of detective stories about inspector Morse.
The publishing house MacMillan stated that Dexter died at his home in Oxford.
My first book about Morse “Last bus to Woodstock”, the writer wrote on holiday in Wales, it came out in 1975. Novels devoted to the inspector, Dexter wrote until 1999.
Detectives were screened on British television. The main role in “Inspector Morse” played by John Thaw. Also created spin-offs.
