In a Dutch Museum returned the stolen 15 years ago, paintings by van Gogh

Moscow. March 21. INTERFAX.RU — Two paintings by Dutch artist-post impressionist Vincent van Gogh stolen more than 14 years ago, was found by police in Italy and returned to the Museum in Amsterdam, said on Tuesday The Agency Associated Press.

We are talking about two works of art — “a view of the sea at Scheveningen” in 1882 and “the Congregation comes out of the reformed Church in Nyuenene” of 1884-1885 creation.

According to the head of the Museum Axela the Ruger, the return of the paintings was “one of the highlights of” the history of the Museum and the paintings are safe.

The paintings were kidnapped in 2002 and later paintings were in the hands of the Italian mafia.

Italian police seized these paintings in the course of a special operation against local gangs.
