Shoigu arrived on the Novosibirsk
NOVOSIBIRSK, 21 Mar — RIA Novosti. The Minister of defense of Russia General of the army Sergei Shoigu arrived in Novosibirsk where he will inspect troops stationed in the region military units and formations of the strategic Missile forces (RVSN), and will also check the implementation of state defense orders at the aircraft factory named after Chkalov.
“The head of the military Department will check the progress of the rearmament of the Novosibirsk division RVSN mobile missile system of the fifth generation “YARS”, — told reporters on Tuesday the official representative of the defense Ministry major-General Igor Konashenkov.
The Minister of defence will hear the report of the commander of RVSN Colonel General Sergey Karakayev, status of combat readiness of missile army, which is based in the Siberian region. Will review the results of implementation of the plan of activities of this military enterprises up to 2020. It provides, in particular, the synchronization process of upgrading to the new missile systems with the construction of military facilities and social infrastructure.
The Minister of defence also will check the performance of the state defense order at the Novosibirsk aviation plant named after Chkalov, will hold a meeting connected with execution of contracts for the production of multifunctional su-34, the modernization of production capacities of the company, said Konashenkov.
