LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky said that his emotional speech at the last plenary session of the state Duma were related to criminals and not to the colleagues-deputies. His words on Friday, March 17, the Agency reports city news “Moscow”.
“I was talking about the mafia, about crime, about corruption. This is my appeal. What does this have to the deputies?” — the politician said.
March 15, Zhirinovsky brought from the hall all the representatives of the faction of the liberal Democrats after the Deputy parliamentary speaker Sergei Neverov urged the ethics Commission to investigate his statements. In particular, the LDPR leader said that candidates from his party in the Moscow region in the course of the election campaign was under pressure, and then promised that “we will enter the Kremlin” as President will be “shot and hanged” opponents.
During the same plenary meeting, Zhirinovsky criticized the work of the Minister of labour Maxim Topilin and praised the work of his Department on the “three-minus”.
After the incident, three Duma factions — United Russia, just Russia and the Communist party — called for Zhirinovsky to apologize for the harsh statements. He refused to plead guilty.
