MOSCOW, 18 Mar — RIA Novosti. Singer Yulia Samoylova, who will represent Russia at “Eurovision-2017”, called funny threats to the Ukrainian authorities not to allow her to participate in the contest due to the fact that she previously played in the Crimea.

Such a statement she made in an interview to TV program “Vesti on Saturday”.

“It’s kind of funny, and I don’t understand what the fuss is about. Was a totally normal concert… I don’t know, to me somehow it’s strange,” said the singer, adding that the Crimean event was a lot of artists, including from the United States.

Commenting on speculation that the participation in “Eurovision” is a PR move, Samoilov stressed that on its account there was always prejudice.

The choice of Yulia Samoilova as representatives of Russia to participate in “Eurovision-2017” has caused negative reaction from the Ukrainian authorities. So, in the Parliament threatened not to let the actress in the country and urged to bring her to justice for a visit to the Crimea.
