United Russia signed a cooperation agreement with the Communist party of Cuba, reported on Thursday a press-service of the Deputy of the state Duma Sergei Zheleznyak.
According to the release, the signing of the document at the meeting, which was attended by Zhelezniak, was held in the headquarters of United Russia in Moscow, with the Cuban side it was attended by the Ambassador in Russia Emilio Lozada Garcia.
“We are very pleased with our brotherly cooperation. I am confident that the agreement will make a significant contribution to the long-term friendship between the peoples of Russia and Cuba, and between our parties, which play a leading role in the politics of our countries,” — said Zheleznyak, whose words are quoted in the message.
According to the parliamentarian, both States are not indifferent to what is happening in the world. “I am sure that the serious humanitarian and peacekeeping efforts of the Russian and Cuban peoples are in demand and useful for solving many problems of global scale. We really appreciate the friendly atmosphere of mutual respect and support that lives in our Nations,” he said.
