Deir ez-Zor
Units of the Syrian army repulsed several attacks of militants of the terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia) near the city of Deir ez-Zor. It is reported by SANA, citing military sources.
In the course of repel attacks on the local airfield was destroyed by a tank, eight cars mounted with heavy machine guns and two bombs of the machine.
On another front, the militants had killed 10 people.
Deir ez-Zor in 2014 is actually under siege. Units of the armed forces are forced to act in the actual environment. The supply of the army and the civilian population is carried out exclusively by air. To date, all ground roads and paths leading to the city, which is besieged by extremists.
