MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. State Duma deputies from “United Russia” believe that the reunification of the Crimea with Russia, the third anniversary of which is celebrated on Saturday, had a historic and vital for the inhabitants of the Peninsula and the whole country value.

In his address on the occasion of the anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia Secretary of the General Council of United Russia, Deputy speaker Sergei Neverov pointed out that this “new holiday date in the history of the country, which symbolizes many things, above all – the restoration of historical justice, the correction of the fatal flaw of 1954, the consequences of which led to the fact that the Peninsula was “uncomfortable” and “alien” territory, but of strategic importance”. “This led to the fact that Crimea and Sevastopol have fallen out of development processes, and its inhabitants infringes the right to identity, the right to speak and teach their children in their native language,” reminded the MP.
