The state Duma in the third final reading adopted the law on introduction of criminal liability for bullying in all forms of public transport. The amendments will complement the article 213 of the criminal code (“Hooliganism”). On Friday, March 17, reports TASS.
According to the article, brawlers can get up to five years in prison for gross violation of public order. A crime committed by a group of persons upon a preliminary collusion, or by resisting arrest, faces up to seven years in prison. If the perpetrators used explosive devices, they face up to eight years.
In addition, the criminal code introduced a new article establishing liability for actions, which threaten the safe operation of vehicles. We are talking about shapero and hooligans who use laser pointers to blind pilots. For them the penalty of deprivation of liberty for a term up to two years.
As stated by the Chairman of the Duma Committee on state construction and legislation Pavel Krasheninnikov, black lists of passengers still will be formed only by court order.
In February it was reported that the state Duma Committee on transport has developed a draft law on black lists of air passengers, who threaten flight safety. Violators prohibited sale of tickets and admission to the aircraft for three years.
