Communist party leader Gennady Zyuganov said that the request for the reburial of the body of Vladimir Lenin are a provocation, reports TASS.
Thus he commented on the address of the Deputy from the LDPR Ivan Sukharev to the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko on the consideration of the question of the dismantling of the mausoleum of Vladimir Lenin on red square.
“Statements about robbing (of reburial of Lenin. – “Газета.Ru”), whoever they may sound, is absolutely provocative,” – said the politician.
The issue of reburial of Lenin’s body previously raised and the Russian Orthodox Church abroad (ROCOR) in his message “on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the tragic events connected with the revolution in Russia.”
