MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. Russia’s investigative Committee have established a name of one Ukrainian commander, involved in the shelling of houses in the Donbass.
As reported TASS the representative of SK of the Russian Federation Svetlana Petrenko, in the course of a criminal investigation against the commander of the 53rd separate infantry brigade of the armed forces of Ukraine Colonel Alexander Gruzevich the investigation failed to establish additional episodes of his crimes, and another of his accomplice – commander of the 43-th separate mechanized infantry battalion of the 53rd mechanized brigade Serhiy matseyko.
According to the investigation, from April to July 2016, they and other Ukrainian servicemen, fulfilling the criminal orders of the senior military leadership of his country, was carried out shelling of civilian infrastructure in the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s Republic. As a result of these crimes was destroyed houses and other civilian objects in the town of Gorlovka.
The case for new attacks
In addition, management SK the Russian Federation on investigation of crimes related to the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, initiated another criminal case in connection with the attacks on the civilian population of Donbass from March 3 to 10. The case was initiated under part 1 of article 356 of the criminal code of Russian Federation (“Use of prohibited means and methods of warfare”).
“According to the investigation, members of the Armed forces and the National guard of Ukraine, carrying out obviously criminal orders of the leadership of those departments, carried out a sighting artillery fire from heavy weapons (caliber not less than 122 mm) of civilian infrastructure, which are not military objectives in towns of Donetsk region. The result was a destroyed and damaged more than 50 houses and other buildings in the cities of Donetsk, Dokuchaevsk, Gorlovka and nearby settlements”, – said the representative of the UK.
“The investigative Committee continues to establish additional episodes of crimes of the Ukrainian military personnel against the civilian population of Donbass. All these facts are recorded in the materials of the criminal case about the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, which amounts to currently more than 5.4 million volumes,” – said Petrenko.
