Russia in 2017, dropped from 48th to 51st position in the visa restrictions Index compiled by the International consulting firm Henley & Partners. About it the correspondent “Tapes.ru” said the company.
This year the number of countries in which the Russian citizens can enter without visas, on the contrary increased from 105 in 2016 to 106 in the current. It is noted that Russia has lost three positions due to the fact that over the past 12 months, other States have strengthened their positions in the ranking. The Russian passport was the most powerful in the CIS. So Ukraine took the 58th place in the ranking, Kazakhstan — the 67th, Georgia is 68th, Belarus — 70th, Azerbaijan — 74-Yu.
First place in the world for the fourth year is Germany. With a German passport this year without a visa you can visit the 176 countries and territories (compared to 177 in 2016). In second place was Sweden with 175 visa-free countries, in third place with 174 countries have divided Finland, Italy, Spain, USA and Denmark.
The last place ranking went to Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan.
At the beginning of the year, it was reported that Russian citizenship was on 60th in the world rankings. A similar position is occupied by China and Qatar.
